What I do
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Marywood University in Scranton, PA and hold licenses in multiple states. Nutritional counseling sessions are individualized, client centered with a non-diet approach to help clients meet their health and wellness goals. I have competed professionally in American Rhythm & teach a variety of ballroom and social dances.
Why Do Experience and Credentials Matter in Dance and Nutrition?
When choosing someone to guide your nutrition or teach ballroom dance, professional qualifications and experience matter. Nutrition advice can directly affect your health, so it is important to understand the credentials of the person providing that guidance. As a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, I have the nationally recognized credential, state licensure, and education required to safely provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and individualized nutrition guidance.
Experience is equally important when learning to dance. I have more than 25 years of ballroom dance teaching experience and more than 15 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Bringing these two backgrounds together gives me a unique perspective as an educator. Whether we’re working on dance steps or nutrition habits, I focus on understanding how you learn, communicating information clearly, and making sure you feel comfortable and heard throughout the process. My goal is to provide knowledgeable guidance while helping you develop skills you can continue using beyond our time together.
